Flange Towbars

Flange towbars (also called flange ball towbars) feature a flat mounting plate onto which a towball is bolted. This traditional design offers excellent versatility and value. Compare with swan neck towbars for a sleeker alternative.

Design Features

  • Flat flange plate: Provides mounting surface for towball
  • Bolt-on towball: Secured with high-tensile bolts
  • Multiple mounting holes: Allow height adjustment
  • Standard 50mm ball: UK/European standard size

Available Configurations

Fixed Flange

  • Neck permanently welded to vehicle mount
  • Most economical option
  • Towball can be removed (neck remains)

Detachable Flange

  • Entire neck and flange removes
  • Clean appearance when not towing
  • Higher cost than fixed
